You will receive eight unused vintage F. Soennecken no.250 Redis nibs in perfect condition.
F. Soennecken was a German manufacturer of writing instruments and office supplies, founded by Friedrich Soennecken in Remscheid in 1875. The company moved to Bonn the following year. Soennecken developed and promoted a Rundschrift writing method inspired by French Ronde, publishing instruction books and supplying matching steel nibs. The firm's range expanded to include nibs for handwriting, drawing and lettering, as well as penholders, inkwells and fountain pens. Its name became closely associated with German writing culture and office equipment.
The no.250 is a round-disc lettering nib, also known as a Schnurzugfeder. Its small circular writing surface produces an even, consistent line when held flat against the paper. These nibs are suitable for monoline lettering, decorative alphabets, borders and drawing.
Line width is primarily determined by the size of the circular tip. With practice, tilting the nib onto its edge allows finer strokes and more expressive lettering.
The collection contains one nib of each size:
¾, 1, 1½, 2, 2½, 3, 4 and 5.
From 5 sets you will receive a discount of up to 10%.
