Heintze & Blanckertz was a German manufacturer of steel pen nibs and writing tools, with origins in Berlin in 1849. Founded by Rudolf Heintze and Heinrich Siegmund Blanckertz, the business established Germany’s first steel pen nib factory in 1852. Its nibs received a prize medal at the London International Exhibition of 1862. The company developed a wide range of designs for handwriting, calligraphy and drawing, and also supplied tools for graphic arts and crafts.
