You will receive six unused Blanzy, Poure & Cie Sursum Corda no.1682 nibs in perfect condition.
Gilbert & Blanzy-Poure belongs to a long tradition of French writing-instrument manufacture. Its Blanzy-Poure roots date back to 1846, when Pierre Blanzy and Eugène Poure established a metal pen-nib factory in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France. The company gained recognition for the quality and variety of its products, receiving awards at national and international exhibitions.
Over time, mergers brought together the names Gilbert, Blanzy-Poure and Conté. Vintage nibs and packaging bear markings such as Blanzy, Poure & Cie, Gilbert & Blanzy-Poure, Blanzy-Conté-Gilbert and Blanzy, France. These names form part of a shared manufacturing heritage encompassing nibs for handwriting, calligraphy and drawing.
The Sursum Corda no.1682 EF is a vintage French pointed dip pen nib with a distinctive crown-shaped collar. It produces a very fine line, with an approximate reported stroke range of 0.2–0.9 mm.
