Brause & Co. was founded in Iserlohn, Germany, in 1850. The company became known for its steel nibs for handwriting, drawing and calligraphy.
You will receive fifteen unused Brause Rustica nibs in perfect condition: three each of nos. 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9.
These left-handed calligraphy nibs have left-oblique writing edges and low elasticity. Their approximate writing widths are:
• No. 5: 1.2 mm
• No. 6: 0.9 mm
• No. 7: 0.75 mm
• No. 8: 0.5 mm
• No. 9: 0.3 mm
Their angled writing edges create contrasting thick and thin strokes according to the direction of writing and the angle of the nib. They are suitable for calligraphic lettering, with the narrower sizes also useful for everyday handwriting.
Although classified as left-handed nibs, they can also suit right-handed writers, depending on their pen hold and writing position.
