You will receive a vintage box containing 50 Sergent Major no.2500 nibs.
Gilbert & Blanzy-Poure belongs to a long tradition of French writing-instrument manufacture. Its Blanzy-Poure roots date back to 1846, when Pierre Blanzy and Eugène Poure established a metal pen-nib factory in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France. The company gained recognition for the quality and variety of its products, receiving awards at national and international exhibitions.
Over time, mergers brought together the names Gilbert, Blanzy-Poure and Conté. Vintage nibs and packaging bear markings such as Blanzy, Poure & Cie, Gilbert & Blanzy-Poure, Blanzy-Conté-Gilbert and Blanzy, France. These names form part of a shared manufacturing heritage encompassing nibs for handwriting, calligraphy and drawing.
These vintage French pointed dip pen nibs produce very fine lines. Depending on the version, they offer limited or moderate flexibility.
The box supplied may differ slightly from the one shown in the photograph. Both the box and the nibs will be of high quality.
