Mario Locati was an Italian name in steel dip pen nibs, associated with Milan. Surviving nibs and packaging also carry the initials E.C. & F., linked to Ing. E. Cattaneo & Figli. The range included the EVA Extra school nibs and distinctive designs such as URSUS and the Eiffel Tower-shaped No. 324. These vintage nibs preserve examples of Italy’s traditional writing equipment.
The EVA Extra No. 324 is a distinctive Eiffel Tower-shaped dip pen nib with a gold-coloured finish. This version produces a fine line and has very little elasticity.
