Its Blanzy-Poure roots date back to 1846, when Pierre Blanzy and Eugène Poure established a metal pen-nib factory in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France. The Ronde no.231 is a vintage French broad-edged lettering nib, size 2, suitable for italic calligraphy. Its broad writing edge creates thicker and thinner strokes according to the direction of writing. The size number is not a measurement in millimetres.
